The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
A stunning hardback, which is SIGNED!
In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved murders.
But when a brutal killing takes place on their very doorstep, the Thursday Murder Club find themselves in the middle of their first live case.
Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron might be pushing eighty but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves.
Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before it’s too late?
Richard Osman is an author, producer and television presenter. The Thursday Murder Club is his first novel. He is well known for TV shows including Pointless and Richard Osman’s House of Games. As the creative director of Endemol UK, Richard has worked as an executive producer on numerous shows including Deal Or No Deal and 8 Out of 10 Cats. He is also a regular on panel and game shows such as Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You and Taskmaster.
The House Guest by Mark Edwards
This beaut comes with a SIGNED (signed, my gosh!) postcard and the snazziest pen I’ve ever seen, which also moonlights as a torch and stylus!
When British twenty-somethings Ruth and Adam are offered the chance to spend the summer housesitting in New York, they can’t say no. Young, in love and on the cusp of professional success, they feel as if luck is finally on their side.
So the moment that Eden turns up on the doorstep, drenched from a summer storm, it seems only right to share a bit of that good fortune. Beautiful and charismatic, Eden claims to be a friend of the homeowners, who told her she could stay whenever she was in New York.
They know you’re not supposed to talk to strangers—let alone invite them into your home—but after all, Eden’s only a stranger until they get to know her.
As suspicions creep in that Eden may not be who she claims to be, they begin to wonder if they’ve made a terrible mistake…
Mark Edwards writes psychological thrillers in which scary things happen to ordinary people.
He has sold 3 million books since his first novel, The Magpies, was published in 2013, and has topped the bestseller lists several times. His other novels include Follow You Home, The Retreat, In Her Shadow, Because She Loves Me, The Devil’s Work and Here to Stay. He has also co-authored six books with Louise Voss.
Originally from Hastings in East Sussex, Mark now lives in Wolverhampton with his wife, their children, three cats and a golden retriever.
Mark loves hearing from readers and can be contacted through his website, http://www.markedwardsauthor.com, or you can find him on Facebook (@markedwardsbooks), Twitter (@mredwards) and Instagram (@markedwardsauthor).
Helluva bookish bundle to kick start one of the hottest new book clubs! I’m in LOVE and I can’t wait to get reading. I’ve been a huuge fan of Mark Edwards since I first read The Magpies (I say first because I’ve read that beauty about a thousand times.) I adore his books and can’t wait to dive into The House Guest. Bloomin’ excited to gobble up The Thursday Murder Club. This sounds fabulous. I’ve had my eye on this for ages and when I saw it in the box (signed no less) I was jumping for joy!
I can’t recommend this subscription service enough. The lovely team at Capital Crime, Adam Hamdy, David Headley and Lizzie Curle, have created something spectacular. If you fancy joining this killer book club, you can find more info here!
